Practical, nationally recognised training designed to grow careers in the agricultural sector — from entry-level learnerships to RPL-based qualifications.
Short Learning Programmes (SLPs)
Skills-based courses that provide job-related competencies and address challenges within existing enterprises, responding to the needs of individuals and groups in the agricultural sector.
Target Group:
Farmers, Farm workers, Agricultural development enthusiasts
Programme Features:
- Tailored to identified training needs
- 5 days to 3 months duration

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
A formal process to assess and recognise skills, knowledge, and competencies acquired through work experience, informal learning, or previous training — without starting from scratch.
- Qualification Entry: Allows mature or experienced individuals to gain admission into a formal qualification programme without meeting traditional entry requirements such as a Grade 12 certificate.
- Module Credits: Enables applicants to obtain credits or exemptions for specific modules where they can already demonstrate existing knowledge and competencies from prior experience.

Learnerships — NQF Levels 1–4
Structured work-based learning combining classroom instruction with practical workplace experience in Animal Production or Crop Production. Nationally recognised qualifications designed primarily for youth development in agriculture.
Determines the right NQF level for each learner before enrolment.
120 credits per NQF level with a structured learning journey.
Hands-on training forms the majority of the programme.
Qualifications support career growth and employment pathways.
